Due to an injury sustained during yesterday morning's practice, the Croatian tennis player Ivo Karlović will not be playing at the 23. ATP Vegeta Croatia Open.

"I'm sorry that I will miss Umag's tournament because I was looking forward to my performance. I'm starting with physical therapy right away and I'm hoping to be back on the court very soon. First forecasts say that I will be able to return within 14 days so I'm hoping I will be able to compete at the Olimpic games", said Karlović.

"Immediately after the injury an x-ray image, an MRI, along with the examination of the jumping ankle and right foot has detected a large outflow. We have immediately commenced with treatment and physical therapy", said the official tournament doctor prof.dr. Mišo Šabović.
