This year we are celebrating the fifth anniversary of the Wine tastings "Hidden charms of Istrian wines", while the Istria Gourmet Festival marks its seventh year. On that occasion, in the Gourmet zone a brochure was presented which celebrates the fifth, that is, the seventh year at the ATP tournament in Umag.
Visitors have enjoyed fine Istrian wines, so four Istrian champions were served. In fact, 2016 was a very successful year for the local winemakers who have received many international prizes, and last night the laureates were presented: Kozlović winery, Vina Laguna, Veralda and Benvenuti.
The Wine tastings will continue in their classic form today and will last until Saturday. Today fresh Malvasia will be presented and tomorrow aged Malvasia. Under the guidance of sommelier Emil Perdec, fresh Teran will be tasted on Thursday and on Friday aged Teran. Saturday is reserved for dessert wine, Muscat, and on Sunday the best ATP wine 2016 will be awarded.
The Wine tastings start at 21 hours.
