At this year’s first Kids’ Week event, the children were given an opportunity to warm up with none other than Jiri Vesely. Jiri, ranked 73rd in the ATP Men's Singles Rankings, played two doubles matches, and he sure needed all the luck he could get as the children were more than ready to show off their best tennis moves. In the first match, Jiri paired up with little Nea against Diego and Ivan. Nea controlled the court with her lightning-fast balls and, with Jiri’s help, defeated the boys on the other side of the net. The children were so impressed with the game that another match was set up shortly. This time around, Jiri joined forces with Jessica; however, they faced an experienced duo of Mia and Viki. There were some fast exchanges but the ladies’ team managed to dominate the court. In the end, the players congratulated each other on their performance and posed for a joint photo. New matches are scheduled for Tuesday, starting at 11 AM.
