But it takes more than just a "pretty face" to become a hostess at the Umag tournament.
Hostesses are part of a big team of as many as 400 people hired by the organizers of the tournament, and they hold very responsible positions in a dozen different service points. Tournament guests can find them and ask them for help at the entrances to the stadium and boxes, in the welcome office, in the press center, at the players' desk, but also at various other points. The job is demanding and responsible, therefore girls who want to work as hostesses at the ATP Studena Croatia Open are expected to have a positive attitude, to be outgoing, to be fluent in English, another foreign language is desirable, and they should love tennis.
More than 120 hostesses will offer their contribution this year once again to the organization of the ATP Studena Croatia Open. In return, the girls are given the unique opportunity to partake in the organization of a top sports event in an international environment, which is an invaluable experience for their further career. Of course, they will be provided with complimentary housing and food, transport to Umag, access to concerts, and they will have enough free time to go to the beach, stroll to town and socialize.
Many of the girls also participate in the Miss Hostess pageant every year. All contenders receive sponsor gifts and special gifts are reserved for the winners. The Miss Hostess pageant is one of the most significant entertainment events of the tournament and receives a lot of media attention every year.
