“I love going to Umag as I feel really great there. The organization is always top notch and the atmosphere is fantastic. I would like to invite my compatriots to come and cheer for me this year in Umag. It is a tournament that offers not only top-quality tennis but also great entertainment and fun in a wonderful ambiance, which means you get a full package,” said Bedene, whose best performance in Umag was his 2013 run to the quarterfinals.

Year after year, the tournament’s organizers try their best to justify the Slovenian tennis player’s praise. Accordingly, we are in for yet another spectacle in Umag this year. “Each year, we set the bar a bit higher as we want the tournament to develop and advance. Figures speak best of its success, and the fact that every year 100,000 visitors return to the tournament speaks volumes. Each year, many our friends from Slovenia come to the tournament and I’m sure the same will happen this time around. We have prepared a number of surprises that we will be announcing shortly,” added Ronald Korotaj, chairman of the tournament’s Organizing Committee.

Triglav Osiguranje has been a part of the Umag story since last year, and commitment to tradition was something that immediately drew them to the tournament. “Triglav Osiguranje has been a part of our big family of sponsors since last year and we are immensely proud of our cooperation. The support that we get from large companies is tremendously important for this tournament and is evidence of its value,” concluded Korotaj.

Tadej Čoroli, Member of the Management Board of Triglav Osiguranje, confirmed that the cooperation between the insurer and Plava Laguna was truly exceptional. “Already the first year of our cooperation has met all our expectations. Triglav Osiguranje’s vision has always included the promotion of sports and healthy lifestyle in general, and the tennis tournament in Umag fits that perfectly. Once again, we plan to offer our visitors numerous fun activities in the ATP Zone. We also expect a large number of visitors will come to Umag from Slovenia, to cheer on our Aljaž and enjoy all that the tournament will have to offer,” said Čoroli.
